In a move that marks a new era of collaboration and innovation, we are proud to announce a strategic and deliberate partnership with Trailblazer Studios. This collaboration precipitates a change in the operational management of the RDU community’s well-known Trailblazer Studios sound stage, now proudly named the Suora Sound Stage @ Trailblazer Studios.

This partnership is more than a business venture; it's a fusion of trust, familiarity, and expertise. It combines Trailblazer's established reputation with Suora's innovative approach to storytelling and production.

Our Journey and Team

‍

When Baaqir and Tristan founded Suora in early 2023 during a significant transition period, little did they know that their journey would bring them full circle to this meaningful collaboration. Shortly after launching Suora, an invitation from Trailblazer’s president Jeff Lanter to independently operate Suora out of their Raleigh location brought back fond memories of their early days. When first starting out, they serendipitously met Jeff through their key mentor and entrepreneurship professor Jim Kitchen. After receiving a tour of the space, they were left completely in awe and incredibly inspired after realizing what existed just a few miles away from UNC’s campus where they went to school. This partnership is a culmination of everything learned and experienced. A chance to inject fresh, innovative energy into the space.

Baaqir, a UNC Kenan-Flagler alumnus, is driven by a passion for entrepreneurship, storytelling, and continuous learning. His journey is marked by deep, meaningful relationships, a love for travel, and a relentless ambition to find freedom and balance between work and life. At Suora, he leads strategic initiatives, business development, partnerships, branding + marketing, and financial strategy.

Tristan, also a UNC Kenan-Flagler alumnus, adrenaline enthusiast and a believer in strong relationships, found his inspiration in storytelling through the lens of millennial YouTube creators. His life outside work is a tapestry of adventure and learning, from flying planes to kiteboarding to programming. His role at Suora involves spearheading business and product development, managing technical-related process initiatives, marketing, and operational strategy.

Sullivan, our lead producer and Head of Production who joined in Suora’s early stages, brings a treasure trove of experience from the major studios of Los Angeles. A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, his expertise in video storytelling is unparalleled. As head of production, Sullivan will manage all production and stage-related activities and leads our post-production team.

Expanding Our Network and Community

As we embark on this new chapter, managing the stage and ramping up production, we are eager to broaden our network. We're looking to collaborate with talented professionals in the RDU area across various roles – from Directors of Photography (DPs) and Assistant Cameras (ACs) to Directors, Sound Engineers, Hair/Makeup Artists, Set Designers, and more.

Our vision is to build a vibrant community around this space, celebrating the diverse and talented individuals who contribute to the world of video and film. We believe that by bringing together creative minds, we can produce not just content, but experiences that resonate and inspire.
